Fuel Stations Run Out Of Petrol In Lagos.

Some fuel stations ran out of supply Wednesday in Lagos as motorists and other end users of premium motor spirit were unable to access the product in some of the points visited by AIT.

NNPC filling stations within the metropolis and around the ikeja axis remained under lock and key despite assurances by the NNPC of abundant stock of pms enough to wet the country.

Though there are no indications of panic buying as filling stations visited were visibly devoid of queus which usually characterise the period of scarcity, some of the respondents say, the latest development could be a ground plan by oil marketers to increase the pump price.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the all progressives congress in Lagos State wale mogaji while acknowledging the pains currently faced by Nigerians in all facet of life urged citizens to show understanding with ongoing reforms in the nation’s oil and gas sector, noting that The removal of subsidy on pms was inevitable given the level of corruption inherent in the subsidy regime.

The respondents are also concerned that the latest development if not quickly tamed may snowball into another round of full blown fuel scarcity, a development they say should not be allowed to happen.
