Oando Energy CEO Pushes For More Collaboration Amongst Stakeholders To Improve Production Capacity In Nigeria’s Oil And Gas Sector At 2025 NIES.

The need to forge effective collaboration amongst critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s Oil and gas sector to increase production in the post-divestment era has been emphasised to create a new direction for the nation’s energy sector.

Chief executive officer, Oando energy resources limited, Ainojie Alex Irune made the appeal while speaking at the 2025 Nigeria International energy summit under the theme, “Energy signature and transactional deal of the year winners”, Ainojie said Nigeria must continue to work towards increasing production output, admitting that such efforts must be done under a safe and well structured secured environment .

The CEO who was speaking against the backdrop of what he referred to as the low point when Nigeria’s Oil Production failed to hit the targeted million barrels per day, said the presidential executive orders for the sector have helped to drive the oil and gas environment in Nigeria on the right path of development.

In his further remarks during his presentation, Ainojie Alex Irune also emphasised the need for setting timeline for project execution, Ainojie said such timeline is key for driving development for the oil and gas sector. One other area which the speaker acknowledged as another catalyst for driving growth and improve investment for the oil and gas business in Nigeria is the place of host communities, the speaker noted that host communities are critical in the scheme of building policy models when discussing modalities to improve production capacity.

In his concluding remarks, Ainojie said the future of Nigeria remains in the hands of critical stakeholders, insisting that he remains hopeful of a brighter future for the sector, given that all stakeholders remain even more committed now in driving development for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, in the light of ongoing collaboration between the IOC’s, local Indegenous Companies which has brought new alignments and purposes.
