The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has confirmed a scheduled power rationing in parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and Nasarawa State, from Monday, January 6 to Monday, January 20, 2025, between 9am and 4pm daily.

Caption: According to TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the planned power outage is necessary for the relocation of eight 132kV and 33kV towers along the Kukwaba/Apo 132kV line, due to the Federal Capital Development Agency’s (FCDA) road dualization project along the Apo axis.

The affected areas include Kubwa, Karu, Maraba, Nyanya, Masaka, Keffi, Kukwaba, Apo Mechanic, and parts of Lugbe, Trademore Estate, Pyakasa, Sabon Lugbe, and Chika Alaita axis.

TCN apologized for the inconvenience and assured that power supply will be restored upon completion of the towers’ relocation and cable stringing.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) had earlier announced the scheduled power outage in a public notice to its customers.
