Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose Is New Board Chairman, Rural Electrification Agency In Latest Presidential Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced 26 new appointments into 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions, with former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, emerging as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), in latest appointments for three energy agencies.

Fayose heads the board of REA, with Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta appointed as members and non-executive directors. The incumbent DG of the agency, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, and three executive directors previously appointed make up the remaining board members.

In the latest appointments by the president, Dr Akinola Odeyemi is now the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), with Dr Anthony Inalegwu Godwin set to assume office as chairman/CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.

Shuni Muhammad Dahiru on his part is now the new executive secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who was reassigned to the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) in April.
