*Price Dispute Resolved, IPMAN Launches Anti-Smuggling Team*

The price dispute between the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and petroleum marketers has been resolved, following intervention by the Department of State Services (DSS).

The resolution, confirmed by the National President, Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Garima in Nigeria’s federal capital, Abuja, on Wednesday includes a price reduction in Lagos and other states.

Additionally, IPMAN has inaugurated a national monitoring/surveillance team to combat illegal oil bunkering, smuggling, pipeline vandalism, and adulteration of petroleum products.

The team, led by Abdullahi Isa Gusau and Prince Nixon Ahanonu, will collaborate with security agencies to investigate and report illicit activities.

IPMAN also announced plans to lift Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from Dangote Refinery, following successful negotiations facilitated by the DSS Director-General.

The association pledged support for ongoing government economic policies .

Industry experts expect the resolution and new anti-smuggling measures to stabilize the petroleum market and benefit consumers nationwide in the coming weeks.
