The society of petroleum engineers, Nigeria council has announced saturday, 2nd, August has the commencement date for it’s annual conference SPENAICE 2025.
At a press conference in lagos thursday, chairman of the council, Amina Danmidanmi, PhD who made the official announcement for the unveiling of the international conference and exhibition which is expected to run from 2nd to 6th at eko hotels in lagos according to Danmidanmi is one that promises to engineer discussions in all areas of the energy sector landscape with a view to shaping new roadmap for the advancement of Nigeria ‘s energy sector.
In her remarks, the council chairman said over 4,000 participants across Nigeria, and the global energy ecosystem are expected to grace the 4-day event, with more than 80 exhibiting companies expected to showcase cutting-edge solutions along two-level leadership panel sessions including technical courses, and social engagements.
In her words, and while speaking to the theme of this year’s international conference and exhibition, tagged,”Building a sustainable energy future:leveraging technology, supply chain,human resources, and policy” Amina Danmidanmi said the theme is a call to action for Nigerian oil and gas and the country. On Nigeria’s ambitions plans for the energy sector within the context of driving a 1trillion dollar economy, the council chairman said for the plans to achieve the desire to maximise the nation’s 209 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves as the transition fuel of choice, including growing the production capacity to 2.7mbpd by the year 2030 amongst other ambious plans to suceed, then the country must work towards enhanced field recovery, gas monetization, infrastructure reliability, and pipelines security.
The conference according Amina Danmidanmi will also focus on industry divestment, which she says is a defining chapter for Nigeria’s local content capacity, a development she further stressed will help test the capacity of Indegenous operators in the nation’s energy landscape.
The Ministers of state for petroleum, and gas, the authority chief NUPRC, and that of NMDPRA including the CCEO of NNPC Ltd and other critical stakeholders in the oil and gas sector are expected at the opening ceremony of the 2025 edition.
