Savannah Energy PLC, a British independent energy company has announced the appointment of two Nigerians to it’s board in furtherance to the company’s earlier announcement on 9, October, 2025.
In a press statement sent to energy news stream on thursday, the company confirmed the appointment of kehinde olamide Ogunwumiju as non-executive director with immediate effect.
“I am delighted to welcome kehinde to the board. He is an internationally respected legal professional with a proven track record of supporting dynamic, high growth organisations such as Savannah. I believe his expertise will be instrumental as the Company continues to execute its growth strategy across Africa” Joseph Pagop Noupoue, a non-executive chair at Savannah declared during his remarks to confirm appointment of kehinde.
Kehinde is the managing partner at afe babalola and co, a leading african law firm. Since his appointment in 2017 according to the statement, kehinde remained one of the youngest senior advocates of Nigeria till date.
His practice has seen him successfully represent the NNPC in over 100 disputes and the federal Republic of Nigeria in multiple international disputes, including against a near US$5 billion claim at the International centre for the settlement of investment disputes in Washington D.C .
A graduate of law from the university of Ibadan, kehinde olamide Ogunwumiju also holds an LLM in international commercial law from the university of Northumbria at Newcastle-upon-tyne, England.
