Electricity Tariff Hike… Nigerian Government To Save 1.5 Trillion Naira.

The Nigerian government has given indication that the country stands to save the sum of 1.5 trillion naira from the recent hike in electricity tarrif for band A customers across the country.
A document sited by energy news stream, and issued by bolaji tunji, the media aide to the minister of power, revealed that the federal government will save the said sums, following the removal of subsidy on electricity for all band A customers.
The government further stated in the document that it intends to also install about 2.5 million metres in the year 2024 to bridge the metering gap, in order to keep fate with the federal government promise to ensure electricity consumers are accurately billed across board.
Manufacturers and the organised labour have protested recent announcement on hike in electricity tarrif, describing the timing as wrong, going by the economic situation of the country.
