Engineer Bayo Ojulari has officially assumed office as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), succeeding Mele kolo kyari.
The handover ceremony, which took place at the head office of the company on Friday, marked the beginning of a new era for the oil and gas company.
The new GCEO during the ceremony applauded mele Kyari for his contributions to NNPC’s growth over the years and his service to the nation.
He outlined his management’s objective: to build on Kyari’s successes and take the company to new heights.
Despite the enormous task ahead, engineer bayo Ojulari expressed optimism that with the cooperation of the management and staff, including Kyari’s counsel, the sky is surely the limit as success he said is assured.
“I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” Ojulari told Kyari.
Kyari, in his remarks, congratulated Ojulari and thanked the management and staff for their support during his tenure.
He pledged to support the new management, stressing that he was only a call away.
Ojulari’s appointment is part of a broader restructuring effort by President Bola Tinubu, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and restoring investor confidence in NNPC.
