NNPC LTD Gives Progress Report On AKK Gas Pipeline Project At NOG 2025 Energy Week.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced a significant milestone in the development of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline project.

According to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Bashir Ojulari, in a press statement by the company said the pipeline has successfully crossed the River Niger, paving the way for the project’s completion by Q4 2025.

The group chief executive officer while Speaking at the 24th NOG Energy Week (NOG), in Nigeria’s federal capital abuja attributed the achievement to effective contract reengineering and industry collaboration.

This development is expected to boost the nation’s energy infrastructure and enhance gas distribution across the country the group chief executive officer further stated .

In addition to the AKK pipeline milestone, NNPC Ltd reported 100% availability of major crude oil pipelines throughout June 2025.

This feat, made possible through industry-wide security interventions led by NNPC, has contributed to increased crude oil production.

Ojulari emphasized the need for further investments to sustain production growth, noting that NNPC Ltd has consistently met its cash-call obligations to Joint Venture operations.

He highlighted the positive impact of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) in enabling NNPC Ltd to finance projects effectively.

The NNPC boss also shared his vision for the NOG 2025 conference, encouraging participants to transition from discussions to celebrating performances and closing investment deals.
