NIGERIA’S WORSENING POWER SECTOR SUPPLY CRISIS : A WAKE UP CALL TO MINISTER ADEBAYO ADELABU.
it is no longer news that Nigeria’s power supply challenges has been one of long history despite huge sums sunked already to address the supply gaps which has left electricity consumers to face the consequences of poor power supply over the years.
The news however , is that the challenges bedevilling the sector present under current Nigeria’s minister of power adebayo adelabu has tripped what previously obtained before now, despite several assurances from the minister, Nigeria’s power crisis continue unabated, with no signs of a headway soon for electricity consumers to begin to enjoy uninterrupted supply, leaving many to describe the current minister of power as the worse to have assumed the position.
Several communities across Nigeria since the beginning of the year 2024 have been in constant darkness, with the attendant crippling effects on businesses, and social life.
The stand of this platform, is that the current worsening power supply situation in Nigeria is unacceptable by all standards, and the minister must appreciate the pains Nigerians are currently facing on daily basis due to their inability to acceess adequate power supply to keep life going.
While this platform will not join calls in some space for the minister to resign his position, if he has no answer to the solutions to addressing Nigeria’s power sector crisis, this platform however believes that the minister still has some opportunity left to quickly put together a team of experts who can give him direction on ways to go about the challenges presently depriving Nigerians the pleasure of quality service delivery in the sector.
