MOMAN Re-brands Under New Name, Now MEMAN

Major oil marketers association of Nigeria has now re-branded under a new name Major energies marketers association of Nigeria(MEMAN)
In a press statement released Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, MEMAN says the newly adopted name and logo for the association is based on the association’s commitment to sustainnabilty through the NMDPRA industry sustainability initiative (NISI), the initiative it says is designed to align with the United Nations sustainability development goals, which also serves as the foundation of MEMAN’s dedication to reduced emissions, and ensuring affordable and clean energy including the promotion of safety issues and responsible economic growth.
The press statement further disclosed other MEMAN’s commitments, which extends to areas of health, safety, security and environmental protection amongst others.
Other pillars of MEMAN according to the press statement focuses on innovation for continuous improvements, leveraging advanced technologies, adopting best practices, fostering a culture of innovation, improving operational efficiency, enhancing product quality amongst others.
The association also noted that it takes pride in housing the renewables and gas competency centre, a hub for gas, biofuels, and renewable energy information open to industry, including the press, the academia, and the general public.
In a renewed commitment to industry standards, the press statement reads in it’s closing passage,
“Our members are dedicated to upholding the principles of transparency, safety, energy affordability, and environmental responsibility as we navigate this transformative period”
